Veuer

Veuer is a social media news concept created by Zazoom Media Group Given a broad definition, HighBall Media Group focused in on the editorial content, look and feel… developing the logo, graphics and designing a content outline for the team.

HighBall piloted and launched Veuer for ZMG, making its debut in early December 2015. Veuer can currently be seen on youtube, on.aol.com and several Hearst digital websites.

The Curious World of Jay Thomas

A non-fiction comedy centered around Emmy award winning actor Jay Thomas and his passion for finding and meeting people with odd hobbies.

We travel around the country with Jay’s unusual band of friends to meet a plastic surgeon whose hobby is throwing knives and a young boy who likes to put snails on his face. Part travelogue, part personality and all entertaining Thomas knows how to work the crowd to make “The Curious World of Jay Thomas” both informative and hilarious. Click to see for yourself.

Miami Clicks

Miami is one of the most glamorous cities in the world attracting the rich and famous. In the middle of it all is Seth Browarnik, a celebrity photographer like no other. Intense and artistic, Miami Clicks shows the pressures of having to get “the shot,” while juggling the egos and walking on eggshells around celebrities.

Shot on stunning South Beach, Miami Clicks follows Seth and his band of merry photo-boys around town as Seth both berates and gets berated just trying to do his job. By his side, his supportive wife, who helps him keep everything together.

Grey Berets

The Grey Berets are meteorologists on the front lines of the US military’s most dangerous missions. Given full access to the program by the Air Force, Grey Berets is about the drama and the pressure these men and women face.

Shot on the base where the Grey Berets are trained, the show focuses on the men and women and the intense pressures they face. The MOST deployed unit in all of the US Armed Forces, being a Grey Beret is an honor but it is also onerous on the family life which often boils over into their work.

Weather Caught on Camera

HighBall Media was asked to step in and Executive Produce the last half of the season of this episodic program for Weather Channel.

Coming in mid-way through the season was a challenge, but HighBall was able to quickly survey the landscape and help craft the product into compelling and entertaining television.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: 85th Anniversary Special

HighBall Media was bought in to help produce this Network program for NBC.

HighBall went behind the scenes of Macy’s balloon and float making facility in New Jersey, revealing the secrets to the Macy’s parade magic, including the famous Santa float!

The Creation Question: A Curiosity Conversation

A 30 minute special created and produced for The Discovery ChannelHighBall Media produced and helped execute this program, produced to follow Discovery Channel’s hour long special Curiosity: Did God Create the Universe.

Hosted by NBC’s David Gregory, the special delved in-depth on the sometimes conflict between God and science and Stephen Hawking’s claim that science proves how the universe was created and it wasn’t by a higher force.

Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien

HighBall founder Shannon High-Bassalik was hired by CNN to create a new style of morning talk show never tried before on the news network. The company wanted a panel style discussion program that would be lively, engaging and create content people would talk about. Within one month of her hiring, High-Bassalik, along with journalist Soledad O’Brien launched “Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien” live from an Iowa diner.

Starting Point travelled the country covering all of the biggest political and news stories. O’Brien and her panel were at the center of many of the 2012’s biggest political stories regarding Republican Mitt Romney’s bid to win the White House. The content from “Starting Point” frequently went viral.

CNN’s Early Start

CNN’s Early Start

Early Start is a 2 hour early morning program designed to let viewers just waking up, catch up on breaking news and all the important stories of the day.

HighBall President Shannon High-Bassalik created, developed, launched and Executive Produced the program which saw strong ratings growth in the time period for CNN. Launched with Zoraida Sambolin and Ashleigh Banfield, Early Start is a lively, fast paced and entertaining news program that kept viewers up to date and got them ready for their day. It is now currently hosted by John Berman and Christine Romans.

The Dylan Ratigan Show

The Dylan Ratigan show was MSNBC’s first soiree into tackling the crossroads of the economy and news at a time (2009) when America was facing its greatest financial meltdown since the Great Depression in the 1920s.

Focused on Ratigan, who was brought over from CNBC to share his deep knowledge and passion for America’s financial struggles, The Dylan Ratigan show tackled some of the most complex and difficult to follow economic topics of the day, and broke them down into entertaining but informative segments, to make them easier to understand.
